What a great year 1997 was. Of course we had our adjustments as all newly married couples have, but we had a great time. We lived in a small condo in Centerville, Utah for the first 6 months while David finished up his bachelors degree at Weber State University. We loved to go to my parents cabin in the Uintahs in the winter as an escape from work and studies.

We loved to sled down the mile slope and then have someone pull us back up on the snowmobile.
David graduated in June of 1997 from Weber State University. David graduated Summa Cum Laude (4.0 GPA), Valedictorian, Outstanding Senior, University Honors, Crystal Crest Finalist, National Honor Society, and with numerous other Academic awards. I was so proud of him. He always worked so hard and still does today.

One of David's awards nights. The Jazz where playing and so my Dad brought headphones and listened to the game during the boring parts of the night. Everyone kept asking him the score. We are major Jazz fans and this was the first year they went to the finals.

David gave a beautiful, inspirational speech as the Valedictorian.

After graduating from Weber State University, David decided to attend BYU in Provo to obtain his doctorate degree. I found a really good job at Nu Skin International, Inc. in Provo as the Assistant Contract Administrator. We built our first home in Spanish Fork, Utah and lived there while David attended BYU.

Our first home being built.

Our first baby was a lab/collie mix puppy named Yeechee. She was the highlight of our lives. We loved her and treated her as our baby. She went everywhere with us. She was a great dog.
David & I outside my parents house in Bountiful, Utah.

Yeechee and I had surgery on the same day. David was kept hopping that weekend.

We had great friends and neighbors in Spanish Fork. In fact, one of our neighbors was my cousin Debbie and her husband Jeff. We didn't know that the other was building in the same place until after we moved in. They were married two months before us. We had a great time living by them, and really miss them. We haven't seen them for year. He is an FBI agent now and travels all over. Thanks Jeff and Debbie for the great memories.
We also loved to go to my parents cabin in the summer and fall to ride the four wheelers. I loved fall because it was so beautiful up there. October is David and I's favorite month (thus the name of our child now).
