A Daddy and his Daughter
Author Unknown
A daddy and his daughter,
Walking hand in hand;
Though he isn't always with her,
She says she understands.
When he's away at work or play,
The memory of him lingers;
The girl smiles because she knows,
He's wrapped around her finger.
A slight tilt of her sweet head,
A smile, a lowered glance;
A hug and a kiss and, "Daddy please?"
He doesn't stand a chance!
In later years he will recall,
With tenderness and love;
A charming girl, with hands in his,
A blessing from above.
